Police in the UK are asking for more information on snowfall after more than one million tonnes of snow fell in the north-west on Wednesday.
The Metropolitan Police said in a statement on Twitter that officers were asking for “more details on the snowfall, including any impacts on local infrastructure”.
The Met Police said the information would be shared with local authorities.
It comes after a record amount of snow in the region in March, when the UK recorded its first snowfall since April 2.
More than two-thirds of the UK is covered by at least one foot of snow, according to the Met Office.
